If you are already subscribed to dishnetwork, will you be able to get the local channels for free?

We went with dish before it came with local channels, so now can we just call and get it free?|||Nope

just FYI

I have just today dis-continued my service with Dish Network after years of service.

Their policies have changed so much since we first signed up it is un-real.

If your equipment has issues you can expect to pay $99.00 for a service call even when it is their satellite or receiver..... That was the last straw for me.

(how in the world can they get away with this is beyond me - I mean you have to have THEIR equipment and pay for the service - but if they send you crap to start with.... YOU have to pay??

come on)|||Dish and other satellite providers have to pay a copyright fee to the local television stations for delivery. Originally Dish just absorbed this in the basic package, but to stay competitive with DirectTV, which does not offer local stations in most markets, it now charges a small fee to cover the copyright charge. if you chose not to take local channels, then you don't pay the fee.|||no illiegaly yes|||i think so
