I can't talk about DISH Network but for Directv, yes it will work but only if you get a HD receiver since this receiver has one HDMI output. The DirecTV installer will set up the receiver to get the best picture possible out of your screen (at least will try) but you can also play around with the TV and HD options in the receiver to get the best picture.





When you call DirecTV for setting up your contract and schedule the installation, make sure they write down you want an HD receiver.
