Have dishnetwork w/ std reciever #322 if i buy on ebay hd reciever will it work?

you can buy a receiver from any source and add it to your account however be very wary of what you buy a lot of receivers being sold for less than value are stolen or if there used they may have balance owed on the receiver and dish will not activate either on all newer model receivers there is no longer smart or access cards so you don't have the option to get a new one if you don't mind a commitment usually for around 150 you can upgrade your receiver and dish will give you credits back to repay you this way it will include a installation witch if your using a dish 500 system(standard for 322 receiver) you will need a 1000 dish installed to receive all hd channels this upgrade would cover all this|||Should work, however, you still need to call Dish to enable it.
