Can I download recorded programming on my Dishnetwork DVR to my labtop via USB??

Can anyone tell me if its possible to download recorded programming on my Dishnetwork ViP 622 DVR receiver to my labtop via USB? The receiver has a USB port and I'm wondering if its possible? There has to be a use for the USB port on the receiver?|||You can with a TV tuner card for your computer.|||this is currently not available through the Dish receiver. Im sure that it can be done somehow (might not be legal). You can use an external hard drive that is usb 2.0 external power and i think 50 to 750 gigs.
