Does anyone else need to replace their dishnetwork DVR every year because it goes out?

Every year I need to have my DVR replaced because it stops working. The UPS store says they get many of them while dish network says I probably am causing it to malfunction.|||unplug it from your power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into to the wall outlet, don't worry about power surges they have built in protection
