I recently got a new TV and I am trying to get my dishnetwork to work with it. The room it is in is set up to where it doesnt have a satleite box in it, it runs from our living room. We hooked the satelite cable into the back of the TV and we searchd channels. It didn't find any. We tried to change the input, but not sure what to change it to. I would appriciate some help. Thank you, because I am stumped lol|||You said the "satellite cable". Is the cable coming from the receiver in the other room? It should, your TV can't deal with the signal directly off the dish.
What kind of cable%26gt; Is it coax? (The round stuff with a connector with a nut on the end). If so, connect that to the antenna input of the TV, select "Antenna" and scan for channels. The boxes usually output on channel 3 or 4.|||You dont have the TV scan for channels if you have a Sat or Cable box.
You need to upgrade your Dish box to a HD unit to take advantage of your new HDTV. Then you run an HDMI cable from the output of the Dish box to the HDMI input on the TV. You set the input on the HDTV to HDMI and let the sat box change channels.|||Hello Samantha Loner, the TV will likely need to be on channel 60 or 73 for the TV2 location. You can go to your TV1 location with the TV1 remote and verify this. With the TV1 remote press menu and then 6-1-5 (modulator setup screen). This will tell you what channel the TV2 should be on.
