Can i use Dish 500 from dishnetwork for Direct TV, after pointing it at the new direction?

We are switching from dish network to direct tv, i am at another house and will have a direct tv reciever but will not be able to get a direct tv satellite, but i do have a dishnetwork dish 500 allready. Can i just point the dishnetwork dish500 at the direct tv satelite and use it??|||no you will need to buy a direct tv dish. just get the dish only since you dont need the box. try radio shack,they sometimes sell the dish only.
