Is there really no way to hook my Tivo up to the a Dishnetwork 322 Receiver?

I have people to tell me to change the IR code on the receiver to 1..its currently on 4 but I cannot find anywhere in the Menu to do this. I call Dish and they said it wouldnt work the receiver. However, Tivo tells me it should work with that particulay receiver. The only thing its not doing is changing the channels. This cant be, how will I live without my Tivo?|||to change i.r. address press menu twice,tivo will work on either tv1 or tv2 its just a nightmare though. here is a short list of extra work...turn off 322 inactivity shut off, schedule 322 software updates around your recording schedule, set an auto-tune timer on 322 then your tivo record setting, after 322 updates program guide ( daily ) make sure you are at home to turn receiver back on. the easiest thing to do is to upgrade to a dish dvr mdl 625. besides its cheaper than tivo
